Wear it Pink!
A hive of activity prevailed at Packaging House (SCA Recycling’s HQ in Aylesford) on Friday 31st October. Shades of pink could be seen in the clothing and accessories of males and females alike, staff were once again keen to join in the spirit of the Breast Cancer Campaign - Wear it Pink!
Posters and balloons advertising the day adorned reception and the usual formal conference room had seen a makeover, it was now filled with a mouth watering selection of cakes, some of which were homemade and had been donated by skilful and enthusiastic members of staff wanting to contribute to the cause.
Amanda Pyett, HQ’s receptionist, had a willing helper in Elaine Baré and together they spent the morning serving cakes and taking donations from staff & visitors alike. Later in the day a raffle was drawn and the lucky winners notified. Along with sweet sales (pink of course!) the events had raised over £300!
This year for the first time a number of our Branches took part and organised their own activities. Staff throughout the Company embraced the day, a good time was had by all and another £400 raised, making a grand total of £700, which is now on its way to the Charity.
